Roger Vivier presents the Icons Campaign for Autumn Winter 2024-2025, continuing a House tradition of portraiture celebrating mothers and daughters around the world. Casting the spotlight upon the Dutch American beauty Anna Cleveland and her eminent supermodel mother, Pat Cleveland, a visual portfolio creatively directed by Gherardo Felloni and photographed by Marcin Kempski sets a sleek and graphical scene inspired by the 60s’ Parisian avant-garde.
Expounding upon the Op art inspirations of the VIVIER OP-TICAL collection presented in Paris this February, the campaign is a playful ‘mise-en-abyme’, framing Anna and Pat in retro-inspired square images that recall a golden age of large-format fashion photography. Fusing symmetrical composition and peek-a-boo frames, the cinematic series showcases the icons of the collection in all their dichromatic glory. Odes to Monsieur Vivier’s prolific creativity in the 1960s abound, with radial stripe motifs, retro-tinged floral embroideries, and enlarged accessories playing with scale.
“The 1960s marked a pivotal period for Roger Vivier, when his aesthetic shifted towards a more sleek, graphic, and pioneering design approach. Reimagining the timeless creations of this era has long been my aspiration, and I sensed that the moment was right to reintroduce them in fresh, contemporary renditions this season,” reveals Gherardo Felloni.
Chequered Belle Vivier slingbacks are matched with zebra-printed or graphically bicoloured handbags accessorized with two-tone enamel daisy jewellery. Oversized Viv’ Choc bags in shiny black leather or soft white shearling are spiritedly carried by Anna, whose silhouette, dressed in a crystal-strewn gilet, is elongated in high equestrian buckled boots. Shifting to the evening, the mother and daughter display their dazzling Jewel bags, softly swaying their legs to delicately reveal Belle Vivier Trompette pumps, elevating the formal look to its very edge.
