After 25 years, FENDI’s beloved Mamma Baguette bag is reimagined in a new, supremely soft, contemporary iteration – making a triumphant return on the Spring/Summer 2025 runway as the ultimate expression of the Maison’s enduring legacy.

Born in the late 90s as a tribute to the FENDI founder and matriarch Adele Casagrande Fendi, the Mamma Baguette, as its name suggests, is the mother of the Baguette bag: a larger version of the iconic bag designed by Silvia Venturini Fendi in 1997 to be carried on the shoulder. While reflecting the style and features of the Baguette – like the rectangular shape, flap closure, shoulder wear and FF logo buckle – the Mamma Baguette bag is defined by a more ample design, offering comfort and generous space. Embodying the FENDI DNA, over the years numerous versions of the Mamma Baguette bag have showcased its transformative nature, mirroring the Baguette's versatility while simultaneously establishing itself with its own distinct identity.

In a dialogue between past and present, this archival it-bag is relaunched with a contemporary twist which echoes the fluidity of the Women’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection. Retaining its original codes, the Mamma Baguette bag is reworked in its aesthetic with luxurious, buttery soft nappa leather and a tactile drawstring closure that highlight a new, feminine suppleness. Also, the signature FF logo buckle is now subtly inlaid with leather in a nod to the Maison’s leather goods heritage.

Embracing modern utility, the Mamma Baguette bag is available in three sizes: Large, Medium and Small. The small, perfect for everyday essentials, can be carried by hand or effortlessly crossbody with an adjustable leather strap.

A sophisticated timeless colour palette of dove, black and white, as well as pale pink, sage green and matcha green, enriched with unique seasonal floral embroideries on both beaded and suede bases. Completing the offer is a luxurious black python version – expression of FENDI’s mastery of materials.
